Urban Taco – Modern Mexican Tacqueria

If you’re tired of Tex Mex and want really good authentic tacos, head to Urban Taco in Mockingbird Station. The concept, created by charming 24-year-old SMU grad and Mexico City native Markus Pinyero, is cute, casual and delicious. The chips and lengthy selection of salsas are divine (try the jalapeno zucchini flavor), as are the mix and matchable tacos (Markus recommends the pollo con mole). The ensalada tropical is especially good and the mango flavored water is totally refreshing. You can also find Urban Taco at DFW airport in Terminal C gate 22…AND they have great breakfast tacos available for morning flights!
